Social media has taken fashion a step further, encouraging discourse on designers,stylists and providing real-time feedback on the looks that work, and the ones that don’t.
One such social media platform is Facebook groups.
In Uganda the most notable style Facebook group ''Fresh Peaches'' has completely redefined the usage of social media to influence style choices.
'Peaches' as the members are called recommend each other to the best make up artistes,shops and designers in the country.They also offer style advise to one another,criticize each others style choices and offer alternative style choices.
Its the ultimate haven for fashion lovers,kwegamba as soon as you log in,you are bound to feel at home.
Understandably the group is occupied by mostly females but there are some males as well.
As part of what i believe will be frequent get-together,the peaches will meet tomorrow at Mackinnon suites Nakasero for a luncheon dubbed as 'a mid summer nights dream,' and is based on Shakespeare's play by the same title.
Guests are required to wear pastel colours and floral prints.
