I am a big fan of fashion designer Sylvia Owori and I almost always like her outfits.But this,I dont know what to make of it.

The velvet jacket for starters is a big statement of its own.She therefore did not have to combine it with busy prints and an even busier necklace.

The shoes however saved the day. At least they were not blue.

Am also totally here for the hair.Its nice to see her experimenting with different hairstyles unlike in the past when she wore only one signature hairstyle.

Dancer and actress Natasha Sinayobe on the other hand wore the same dress the next day to friend Jaki Tusiime' wedding.She accessorized with a red clutch, choker necklace and held her hair up in a bun.

Singer Desire Luzinda is known for spending heavily especially on beauty and clothes.But the forever 5 singer went all out on her white and gold themed birthday that took place on Saturday at Rider's lounge,Acacia Place.

The star studded event boasted of high profile guests such as Flames Events CEO Gareth Onyango, Jasper Aligawesa,to mention but a few.

For the event Desire spotted a grey and black weave which she combined with a white and gold dress and finished off with gold accessories.

Urban TV presenter Malaika Nyanzi says she designed her yellow dress in collaboration with another designer Ethel.

But we couldnt help but notice the striking resemblace between her dress and the one south African media personality,Minnie Dlamini wore to the Metro FM Awards in South Africa some time back.

So i guess great minds think alike.

Malaika's was a bright yellow with straps at the back while Minnie's was a peachy orange and totally backless.

Anyhow ,who wore it better?

Am not a big fan of this dress especially for the red carpet.It looks like something one would wear to church.

But socialite Zeinab Sonia wore it to the 2016 Uganda Entertainment Awards last Friday. So we ask,was it hot enough for the red carpet or not?

Malaika Nyanzi stacked her claim as the nation's number one urban fashionista with her high fashion outfits at the Uganda Entertainment Awards where she was the only female emcee of the night.
She co-hosted the awards alongside comedian Salvador idringi and radio personality Kyamagero Andrew.

Stars and lovers of entertainment and fashion last Friday headed to the Kampala Serena Hotel for the 2016 Uganda Entertainment Awards.

With appearances from international stars such as South Africa's Bonang Matheba,Nigeria's Yemi Alade and Tazania's Abby Plaatjes,the red carpet was bound to be on fire.

And it was.

Guests were dressed to kill in one of a kind dresses and suits that made us green with envy.

Here are the looks that stood out,for better or for worse.

Styled by Posh by Kc, TV personality Sheila Gashumba, looked like a million bucks in this black and gold dress with a gold belt as she worked the red carpet at the Uganda Entertainment Awards.

She finished off the classy look with a red hot manicure,a red lip and french plaits.

It was so nice to see her covered up and still looking fresh.

Not one to mince words,the media personality also went to Instagram to brag about her look saying,'I guess I served them well.'

The see through piece was created by little known stylist Sheila Lilian and featured see through material with silk and sequins patch work and rose petals at the tail.

2016 TIARA TRENDS WE ARE MADLY IN LOVE WITH

The tiara has come a long way.From the life size crowns that our mothers wore years ago on their wedding days, to the pretty little head pieces we have now.
Today, the sizes,colours and styles of the tiara are more versatile and have evolved from the ordinary queenly crown to styles such as the floral tiara.

It is not easy to rock a Gomesi.The traditional wear for Baganda women can be elusive, as it tends to look good on some people and ugly on the rest of us.(runs and hides)

I kinda believe this trend works well for well endowed people,like if you have a big bust and butt,Catherine Kusasira style.

Rema does not exactly fall in the aforementioned category but she looks good in them nonetheless.

A look through her social media will show you that the the mother of one is a big time lover of Gomesis.

Her obsession with this trend could also hail from the fact that she is required to perform at introduction ceremonies every weekend, and that calls for maximum decency preferably in traditional wear.

The two were both seen displaying their curvaceous bodies in this stretchy turtle neck number with little gold rings at the sides.

While Boity wore hers in baby pink and accessorised with a white watch and gold bangles/rings, Kirabo on the other hand chose a dark green version and only accessorized with a gold watch and simple earrings.
