Here is what went down last week on the fashion scene...

If there was a style so familiar with Irene Ntale, besides her skinny jeans and sneakers, it is the shirt dress.

She has worn it in all forms ,with sneakers,high heeled shoes ,puma shoes to say but the least.

I love how she stays loyal to her style despite the ever changing trends.

Here are the several times she has rocked this trend.

SHE WHO REIGNS SUPREME:A CLOSER LOOK AT BONANG MATHEBA'S 6 OUTFIT CHANGES FOR THE MTV MAMA'S

As co-host of the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards,Bonang Matheba wore, not one but, 6 fabulous designer outfits.

The South African media personality is one of the most popular entertainment figures across the continent and is beloved for the way she emcees and presents both on TV and Radio.

Which of her outfits was your favourite?

Last night was all glitz and glamour at the 2016 MTV Africa Music Awards in South Africa.The red carpet event was attended by musicians and entertainers from all over the continent,all of whom brought their fashion A game.

The host of the night, Bonang Matheba, Nomzamo Mbatha and Yemi Alade each had several outfit changes that kept the guests wowing.

Who slayed and who failed?

Sheebah Karungi was nominated in the MTV Awards for the first time in the Best Video Act with her song Kisasi Kimu.

Although she lost the award to Congo's Youssoupha atleast her outfit left a mark on the Mama's red carpet.

The red sparkly two piece was young,fun, edgy and oh so sexy!

She did not come to play,she came to slay,y'all.Am not sure about the shoes and that choker ,but the hair and that dress are goals.Love love love.

TEN DESIGNERS ,TEN OUTFITS:SEE ALL THE FASHION FROM THE 2016 SEED SHOW FASHION COMPETITION

The designing competition featured over ten upcoming designers all of whom had been required to convert organic substance into fashionable clothes.

The runway was therefore the finale of what had been an entire season of learning and hardwork.

Ras Kasozi the founder of the seed show had this to say,''This year we took the designers to Bukomansimbi Organic Tree Farmers Association and they saw purposes of the Ficus tree (Mutuba) and they converted whatever they saw into garment.''

It was on the basis of this that their creativity was judged.

The winner was 17 year old Charles Brown Douglas who designed the green and brown men's suit below.

This has to be my favorite outfit from yesterday's Seed show at 'The Kampala Fashion week.''The seed show is a fashion competition among upcoming designers organised by Ras Kasozi in conjunction with the US embassy.
Although she did not win the competition,Ruth's outstanding outfit certainly left an impression on the guests.
I see myself wearing it to a red capet event or something.Good job Ruth!

CIARA DAZZLES IN BLACK JUMPSUIT AMID REPORTS SHE IS PREGNANT WITH BABY NUMBER TWO

Ciara looked stunning in a black peplum-like ensemble which strategically covered her stomach for an appearance on Live With Kelly! in New York City.

This only fueled reports she is pregnant with her second child. Two sources do tell E! News the 30-year-old is expecting.

"Ciara is pregnant and is so excited to be a mom," one source told E! News. "Russell [Wilson] would like to have two to three children. They both would like a big family.".

Good for them.

This is the first time she's been spotted since her controversial BBC interview .

MISS UGANDA AND SOME OF THE PRACTICAL WAYS WE CAN DO BETTER WITHIN OUR BUDGET

Miss Uganda has had its shares of ups and downs that include but are not limited to lack of sponsorship and government support.

As one friend of mine pointed out today,the Uganda audience is exposed to global pageants that literally cost millions of dollars.

And yet our Ugandan market cannot afford to support that kind of investment, so we are kind of stuck with what we can pay for.

I must therefore applaud the leadership of Miss Brenda Nanyonjo for ensuring the sustainability of this our pageant within the limited means afforded to her.
But as is with every challenge,there are lessons to learn.

Here is my two cents on how we can be better, within our budget ofcourse.

According to one commentator on social media who also happens to have attended the event,the organizers of Miss Uganda need to take some time off, take a vacation and do some self reflection.

The 26 year old fashion entrepreneur who has broken barriers in the fashion industry with his popular 'Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards,' was yesterday unveiled as the new Ciroc ambassador for Uganda.

According to the company authorities Abryanz embodies the CÎROC experience and lifestyle. The CÎROC attitude is progressive, inclusive, aspirational, expressive and celebratory. These are traits that Abryanz personifies.

He joins the likes of P.Diddy, Dj Khaled, Rick Ross, French Montana, Ray Jay, Funkmaster Flex, Olamide, Banky W, Dbanj, and Bonang Matheba,all of whom are ciroc brand ambassadors.

Congrats to him.

Last night,the Miss Uganda contestants tried to look the part as they walked down the runway.

Some were elegant,others looked tacky and majority were average.

Here is my list of the top six worst and best dressed contestants.The rest fell in the average category.

Last night,in what was a glamorous ceremony,21 year old Leah Kagasa beat 20 contestants to become Miss Uganda 2016/2017.

The dark skinned beauty who was also miss popularity resonated so well with the crowd that they cheered everytime she came on stage.

She took home a brand new car,a salary for one year,a weekend for two at Serena Hotel Mombasa,a job at sk cargo,3million in cash from Sk Mbuga foundation,a one year treat at the Maisha,and lastly a hamper from Makeup by Olga who also pledged to sponsor her trip to Miss World.

Simple Kyohairwe and Ricky Mutoni were crowned 1st and 2nd runners up respectively.

BEYONCE PRETTY IN PINK AS SHE VISITS MUM IN NYC

Beyonce looked very pretty in pink as she visited her mum's apartment in New York on Wednesday. Queen Bey paired her pink skirt and pink studded jacket .

She is trying to be stylish and its working.

After introducing her boo,Muhammed Katende,to her parents last Saturday,the beautiful Zamarad later changed into an all white wedding gown, perhaps, for the Nikkah ceremony that must have taken place that very day as well.

I love how this gown was modest,unique,simple and yet absolutely beautiful.

The jewels on her headscarf also helped highlight her beautiful facial features.

Her makeup was done by Peter Russell.

Little know Zamarad introduced popular photographer to her parents in a lavish ceremony.The introduction that was centered on an Islamic theme throughout that lent the whole ceremony a unique touch.

The bride wore a gold gomesi with lace details that she accentuated with a red headscarf and sash.

She later changed into a peach gomesi with pearl details that she accessorized with a blue headscarf and a black sash.And lastly,she rocked a blue bejeweled dress and pink sash.

The groom on the other hand kept it modern and trendy in a velvet hat ,blazer and kanzu.

What a beautiful bride she was!

Puffed sleeves are back with a bang!Damn!You remember how we used to rock this trend in the 90's?

Fashion is recyclable indeed.

There is so much to like about this trend.

First and foremost ,its super feminine as the exaggerated sleeves tend to give an impression of a smaller waist and therefore an hour glass figure.

Everything about this couple has been exaggerated.

But given that they are celebrities in church circles,Hawa Musa is a gospel singer while her now-husband,is a bishop at Kansanga Miracle Center,I believe,they can get away with it.

The Uganda premiere of Disney’s “Queen of Katwe” went down on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Acacia Mall, Kampala.

In attendance were actors: David Oyelowo, Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and newcomer Madina Nalwanga, and movie director by Mira Nair.

Naturally the premier drew A listers from all over Uganda all of whom came to watch the movie for the first time.

Most notably of which was the Nagginda of Buganda who rocked the red carpet in a red dress that showed off her beautiful arms and complemented her skin.
